Cracks on Coach roof

Postby Iangibson » Sat Feb 29, 2020 7:42 pm

Hi,
Last summer (2019), I purchased HR29 #471. The sale of Petrel has previously fallen through because of an unfavourable survey, the problem highlighted was cracking on the coach roof outboard of the handrails. The survey suggested that the core material, presumed to be balsa, had been compromised. Prior to commissioning my own survey I asked HR for their thoughts on the previous surveyors findings.
HR responsed quickly and were very reassuring.
I was amazed and delighted with their level of support for a yacht which left their yard 30 years previously.
Seriously good after sales support.
