Eye lift for cockpit floorboard.

Postby Dan » Sat Feb 01, 2014 2:57 pm

Hi,
Broke the eyelid by stepping on it whilst it was in the upright position.
Searched everywhere for a replacement but the dimensions seem to be unusual. (30x51mm) so I wrote to HR (Martin) who confirmed that they have been taken out of circulation.
He offered to look for one and managed to find one in a drawer in another location. He found one and agreed to part with it for 100:-
Have not received it yet but I wanted to share the great service I got from Martin at HR and let you know not to step on the eye.

Hi Dan,
Thanks for the tip, I have also found HR's after sales service very good. This is good example of why it is great to have a manufacturer, that hasn't gone bankrupt during this downturn of the boating industry.

I did the very same thing in the summer in bare feet!. I lost - the lifting eye won. At the time I wasn't happy but now I see it may well have been the best outcome. I don't leave it in the upright position anymore. Still got a limp HA!

Thanks for the tip Dan.
