HR 29 - Keel
I am a new member, and not good at finding my way round forums. May I apologise in advance if this post appears in the wrong section. I am thinking of purchase a HR this January, and I am confused about the keel construction between: 312, 29, and Monsun. What is the difference between the following descriptions?
312- Keel Type: .... Steel moulded into a deep GRP bilge
29 - Keel Type: .. Steel incapsulated in GRP bilge
Monsun- Keel type: Moulded in steel keel in deep GRP bilge pocket.
I know that the keel on Monsun and 312 are not bolted to the hull. Is that the case with HR29?
Finally next week I am likely to view a 29 with purchasing in mind. What should I be looking for when examining the keel? Any other tips in choosing a HR29 will be much appreciated. I usually sail long distance (over 500 miles). With thanks.

Re: HR 29 - Keel
Hi
The three boats have the same keel construction.
No bolts and moulded in GRP.
It is a very strong construction.
