New teak deck (s/y Osprey)
Hi everyone,
Here is some interesting information about HR29 s/y Osprey's teak deck refit:
Quote (moodydecking.co.uk)
"Moody Decking stripped this Hallberg-Rassy of its existing teak decking which had been installed using hundreds of screws into the sub deck. Moody Decking epoxy resin filled all screw holes . Our process of vacuum bagging the decks to the boat means no fixings into the subdeck so no holes and potential leaks. The teak decking took only 4 days to install once all fittings and fixings where removed.
This Deck was caulked with Sikaflex 290i DC.
Once the teak was fitted Moody Decking re-installed all deck fittings and fixings using Sika 291i DC, We also fitted new seals to the lockers using neoprene and an Alpha neoprene glue which will ensure a water tight seal on all lockers.
This was a lovely project and the finish results were amazing. The customer was very delighted with the results and quoted to our technician "The decking looks better than i could have ever of imagined"
Here you will find photos of the project: http://www.moodydecking.co.uk/gallery/hallberg-rassy-29
And here is a couple of videos of the refit:
