Re: Sticky: New member? Manuela and Martin with the 'Visby'
first of all, thank you for this forum, a very valuable source of information! We are pretty new to sailing in general, but fell in love with a HR 29 this fall which is now our first boat ever. We are Manuela and Martin with 2 girls located in Berlin. The 'Visby' is no. 165 of the 29s (1984) and has been stationed in Berlin for at least the last 25 years with more or less regular trips to the baltic. We are looking forward to do the same in the next years, are grateful for the help provided by all of you in this forum and will share our future experience with the Visby.
Cheers
Manuela and Martin

Hello!
We bought and Hallberg rassy 29 1,5 years ago, she is called ADA. We bought here on the east coast in Swede, but now we have here on the west coast. We have done a lot renovating. They have changed teakdeck once (unfortunately screwed) but the shipyard changed all wood under the teak deck to aluminium because it has been a leak before than changed the teak deck which is much better according to the shipyard. She had a new engine Volvo Penta D1 20 ang a new propeller so its easy to manage in a narrow harbour. We have bought new sails, single reef boom,
bathing platform with new ladder and a point with ladder to. New cushions and carpet and mattresses with shaped sheets. Solar and anchor and new instruments and led lamps everywhere. Also lazybag and new sprayhood and tent and so on. The boat is perfekt for 2 persons and tolerate a lot of lake and wind. After we launched her this spring we will take som pictures. We have been inspired of Dolphin Dance.
Regards,
Eva and Martin
Ada are in Bohus Malmön near Smögen.

Olá,
my spanish is as week as other members, so thank you Antti to translate the introduction to english.
Gratulations for your decision to buy a 29er.... for me the boat of dreams.
I also sailed several boats while I am chartering in the adritaic.
For me the cheapest way of sailing was to charter a Jeanneau 54DS and have a Crew of 6 -8 members.
Now my little family decides to have a long term cruise next year and for us the 29er is the perfect choice for us.
I will go on with family cruises with the 54 but the base for us will be our new HR29.
Im looking foreward to read news from you and I will post pic´s ourself as soon we start our journey.
Greetings,
Sascha

Hello,
always flirted with the 29, and was last summer I was with a HR29 around Rügen sailing and there I decided to switch toHR29. Therefore, I am now looking for a well-preserved copy from year of construction 1985 and younger and with dog buoy (5 beds).
My sailing area is the Dutch waters and Baltic Sea. I live near the Dutch border.
Here in the forum, I hope for much "anticipation"

Hello,
a week ago I signed the purchase contract for an HR Nr. 470 launched in 1990. Her name is "Kairos".
The boat is still in winter storage and soon to Enkhuizen. The sailing area will be Ijsselmeer / Wadden Sea.
I hope to find nice and useful things here in the forum and that I can give them here myself.
Regards,
Jurgen

Hello everybody from Bogdan - Romania east side of Europe!
I am not an HR 29 owner but I wish to. So, I find on market this beauty but I think something is not OK because the price is to low 16.000 euro. HR 29 build year 1984 docking in London. After I read HR 29 forum it seems to be Grand Illusion. Not sure but I suppose. She is sale by burgessyacht.com. What do you advice me? The seller didn't tell me more except she is private owned and looking good.
Wish you fair winds!
If my question is not in a proper section, I kindly ask the admin to move it in the other section.

Greetings to all members! Just made a downpayment on an exceptionally well maintained single owner HR 29 Hull No. 300 and will take delivery in late September. Don't expect to sail this year but am looking forward to putting many miles under the keel starting next summer.
Fair winds
