HR29 #244 Resolute

Postby Naseimwind » Wed Oct 04, 2017 9:04 pm

We own #244 „Resolute“ since 2010, when our daughter was born and a 15m2 Dinghy Cruiser (Jollenkreuzer or P-Boot) appeared to be not safe enough for a baby.
The boat is stationed at the IJsselmeer. We sailed her to the Baltic Sea in 2011 (Rügen, Bornholm, Uitklippan, Karlskrona, Kaseberga, Kopenhagen, Rosiilde, Ebeltoft, Samsø, Haderslev, Als, Flensburg, Schleswig, Eckernförde). The following years we sailed the Dutch islands, Schelde and IJsselmeer. The HR29 is rocksteady, sails great at all conditions (up to 10 Bft experienced).
Our daughter, now 7, loves her.
We equipped her with a Latsch furling Genaker. Standard sails are a Gaastra Genua and a Latsch main, we have a jib we never use. She sails well at 3Bft or more. The Gemaker helps her at low Winds and really speeds her at up to 17kn of wind reaching - last weekend we made 6.5 to 7.2 kn at 17kn of wind.
At moderate and stronger Winds much bigger boats have a tough time to keep up with us when beating windward as we sail a good height and nearly loose no speed in waves.
The only disadvantages are the lack of a separate berth for our daughter and the draugth if 1,65m in the tidal waters.
