Spinnaker boom downhaul
Hi all,
am new to the forum but was wondering if anyone could help.
I recently purchased an HR29, and want to know the best and most effective way to rig the spinnaker boom downhaul?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Cornish Curlew

Re: Spinnaker boom downhaul
I also have a full boom which, as I also have an assymetric spinnaker, use mainly for poling out the genoa. I have two sets of triple clutches with all 6 positions used. As I did not want to make another hole in the foaming I simply use a downhaul (8mm braid on braid) attached to the pale end and fix to a convenient deck cleat. It means going forward but once set up is not a problem. You could run the line all the way back to the cockpit using a turning block or modern slip ring.
