Sailing Down
Greetings to the Forum,
we just returned from our holiday at lake Constance.
Franziska learned her sailing basics with the lokal licence for lake Constance.
We had a wonderful time near Constance and the sailors down there are so polite.
I spend my time with our little Leonie on my bike and at the sailing Yard.
I will post pics during the next days.

Re: Sailing Down
We start our sailing adventure at Lake Constance where my wife Franziska is making her patent.
In Germany we have three official licences: Sport Boat Licence Inland, Sport Boat Licence Sea and a special Licence for Lake Constance and High Rhine.
I only have the first one and for me it is not interesting to do another patent just for sailing Lake Constance. For foreign sailors it is possible to buy a holiday licence with which you can sail there for four weeks in a year.
The only hint is, that you are not allowed to drive High Rhine (Stein am Rhein - Schaffhausen).
For her it is useful to make the Lake Constance Licence because with this she is having the complete inland licence and the practical part of the sea licence.
Here are some images from the sailing practice...
The sailing practice is done in the bay right in front Constance and Kreuzlingen.
In the evening the wind normally drops if there are no thunderstorms reaching the lake.
In the evening the motorboat school and the sailing school are coming to homeport, having a sundowner...
